Lara, the wild turkeys are rather skiddish, too. However, this was the big tom, and I believe he was looking at himself in the reflection of our yurt window. I took the photo through the window.

Artist's Description

It is spring time here in northern California, and I keep I hearing different chirps, clucks, and gobbles of the wild turkeys walking by while I'm sitting in my yurt. I grabbed my camera and started to walk across the floor looking out the window. I noticed that the turkeys could here me. This shot was taken from inside through the window. When I first posted it on Twitter, someone suggested that this turkey was posing for me. I used electronic "brush strokes" to create the effect I wanted. If you click on an area to see the brush strokes, note that the largest composition I am doing is 50% of what you will see in the enlargement.
