I had heard stories about the Wild Billy Goat who lives west of us on the seep slopes descending to Orr Springs. The story I heard was that he was "herding" two female sheep. I've now seen him three times while driving to the coast. The most recent time he walked right up to the car. It seemed as though he was protecting his two sheep, who were so mellow they didn't even raise their heads from grazing to look at us. Since I could actually
see the hair standing up on the back of his neck as he moved towards the car window, I decided to play it safe and took this picture through the windshield.
